Bintan Island is the largest island of Riau Islands. It is one of the closest island holiday destinations from Singapore other than Batam Island. Bintan Island presents a perfect tropical getaway for leisure and adventure seeker.

Singapore is around 45 – 50 minutes ferry ride across the Singapore Strait from the Bintan Resorts area in the northwest of the Island.

How to get to Bintan?

There are 2 means of transportation can be used by visitors to reach Bintan Island, which are by ferry and by flight.

Bintan Island is only a short ferry ride away from Singapore and Johor Baru, Malaysia, therefore most visitors enter Bintan by sea. There are several ferry operators offering daily services to Bintan Island. You can go directly to the Bintan Resorts Area, Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal if you’d like to arrive close to the resorts. The other ferry terminal in Bintan is Sri Bintan Pura Ferry Terminal which is at the town area. You can ride a ferry there if you stay at the eastern coast of the island or in the town area.

Bintan has one airport, Raja Haji Fisabililah Airport or Kijang Airport. The airport does not serve international routes. Therefore, it is more common for domestic traveler to arrive by flight in Bintan.
